When Tennessee Children’s Home merged with Happy Hills Youth Ranch (Ashland City) in 2000, it was unaware of the opportunities it would receive to continue to bless others. The displaced mothers’ program was started to meet the needs of single parents and their children. Over the years, hundreds of children and their families have been provided a safe place to live while their family transitioned from a tough time in their lives.
In the Fall of 2018, with the help of a great friend of the Home, we were able to start an Independent Living Program in Clarksville, Tennessee. This program is designed to help youth (ages 18-24) transition out of state custody. The Independent Living Program provides a safe place to live and an opportunity to gain higher education and basic life skills. Of course, the same spiritual influence that we place on all our programs is present in this program.
